Modern Amenities Block

Penisar Mynydd offers a new, modern amenities building that accommodates toilet, washing, shower and laundry facilities. The building has been constructed to the highest standards including tiled floors, toilet cubicles, shower cubicles (with a constant on-demand supply of hot water), urinal facilities, and numerous hand wash basins.

Power is provided for electric shavers. A separate dish washing area is provided with plentiful hot water. A separate washing, drying and ironing laundry facility is also available.

Finally, separate chemical toilet washing and disposal services are offered in a separate unit.

Spacious Pitches

Camping & Touring Park North Wales

Penisar Mynydd Caravan Park offers 72 hard-standing caravan pitches, 60 of which offers services. At peak times, grass pitches are also available.

The ‘Super Pitches’ are all hard standing, offering full services of electricity, mains water and drainage. The pitches accommodate both single axle caravans, and the larger double axle caravans.

‘Standard Pitches’ offer electricity only.

The elctricity provision on the site is a 16 amp service.

Many of the pitches, given their generous spaces allocaton, are seperated by attractive, mature beech hedges to increase privacy.

The generous proportions of the pitches also offers ample space for awnings and car parking.

Secure & Private Park

Penisar Mynydd takes its responsibility for security and privacy very seriously. The site is accessed adjacent to a seperate reception building that controls a locked, raisable 2 metre (6 foot, 6 inches) access gate. As such, you can rest assured that your caravan or motorhome is always in a secure setting. This is particularly important for those residents for the season when your property is often left unattended mid-week.

The caravan site is also covered by 24-hour CCTV, again offering an additional level of security.

 

Tent & Rally Field

The Tent Field is a 2 acre, flat, well maintained secluded field surrounded by mature hedges, with spectacular views of the local countryside beyond.

The field can accommodate 60 tents.

The field offers 40 (6 amp) electric hook-up points. It is advisable to bring a torch during your stay.

This field also serves as the Rally Field.

Penisar Mynydd has been hosting caravan rallies since 1997 in their private, fully enclosed rally field. The field can accommodate 70 units, with 40 (6 amp) electric hook-up points.

Rural Setting

The Penisar Mynydd Caravan Park is located within a tranquil, attractive rural position, set within the stunning Clwydian Hills, a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB).

The site is to be found just 2 minutes from the main North Wales trunk road, the A55 (Junction 29), offering convenient access. Yet the site is set within pretty fields and wooded areas in a quiet secluded area.

The locality offers many attractive traditional villages, each with shops and public houses. Then within very easy reach you have the towns of St Asaph, Rhyl and Prestatyn offering services to meet all your needs.

Given the proximity to the A55, while the site offers a quiet rural base, you can very quickly head east towards Chester, or west towards Conwy and Snowdonia.

For those interested in walking, three national walking trails pass very closely to the site, these being Offa’s Dyke, the Clwydian Way, and the Wales Coast Path. Offa’s Dyke passes within 200 yards of the site and traverses the many ridged peaks of the Clwydian Hills. This area of outstanding natural beauty is in many ways a hidden treasure as visitors to North Wales head towards Snowdonia. yet the Clwydian Hills offer terrific walking contry with stunning views of the North Wales coast and then the Vale of Clwyd. The Visitor Centre offering all the information to explore these hills is to be found in Loggerheads near the town of Mold. Despite its rural setting, the site offers strong TV reception and mobile telephone access.
